Answers: 1.Centralization and decentralization are one of the key elements of organizational structure being followed in the business organizations. Centralization and decentralization refers to two opposite approaches of the organizational structure (Schmitt et al. 2015). Centralization refers to the system, where hierarchical structure is being maintained from top to bottom of the organizational internal stakeholders. Moreover, the communication approach of this structure is mainly top down. This is due to the reason that, in the case of the centralized structure, the top level managers takes the major decisions and is being followed by the subordinates. One the other hand, decentralized approach refers to the system where hierarchy among the internal stakeholders is not being maintained. Decision making process involves the opinions and suggestions of the subordinates also (Lunenburg 2012). Different managerial levels are being maintained in this approach, which are having more influence and power in the organizational process. Advantages of centralization Proper communication of the organizational mission and vision to the employees. This is due to the reason that, in this case, subordinates are bound to follow to their superiors. Thus, in the time of any organizational turbulence, managers will have more control in directing the employees. Disadvantages of centralization Communication is only top down and one sided. Thus, the opinions of the employees are not being communicated to the superiors, which may pose issues in the employee engagement. Advantages of decentralization More relationship between the superiors and subordinates. Thus, the employees will be more motivated and engaged in their workplace. Moreover, the managerial levels will have better understanding of the requirement of the employees. Disadvantages of decentralization Lack of direction of the managers over their subordinates. In addition, decision making process will face difficulty due to the generation of different views from all the internal stakeholders. 2.Emotion refers to the pleasure and displeasure of an individual towards a certain event. Emotions are being generated as the consequences or outcome of any events (Zaki and Williams 2013). In the case of the business organizations, emotions of the employees are important to determine due to the reason that, it determines their level of motivation and engagement in the organization. Emotion is of two types, namely positive and negative. Positive emotions refer to the phenomenon, which motivates the individuals to react positively. On the other hand, negative emotion refers to the phenomenon, which provokes the individuals to react negatively towards certain events. Impact of positive emotion in the workplace Excitement is a positive emotion, which can be beneficial for the organization. This is due to the reason that, the more excitement will be have with the employees in the workplace, the more interested and engaged will be the employees to perform. Initiation of excitement among the employees will help to reduce the monotony of them in their workplace along with enhancing the level of motivation (Laschinger et al. 2014). Excited employees will be open to new ideas and approaches and will always be interested in innovative thinking. Impact of negative emotion in the workplace Fear is one of the key negative emotions for the employees in their workplace. This will also pose threat for the organization as a whole. This is due to the reason that, if the employees are in fear about something such as fear of termination or fear of organizational pressure, then it will reduce the productivity of the employees (Lerner et al. 2012). If the employees are in the constant fear of termination, then they will not engage in innovative thinking, rather they will only follow the rules in their workplace. Thus the generation of the innovative ideas among the employees will be affected and the organizational productivity will get reduced. 3.Communication is one of the key characteristics of an effective team. Communication refers to the determination of the requirement and opinion of others along with conveying the opinions of own. It is one of the key elements of team work due to the reason that, communication process in the team helps in enhancing the relationship among the team members (Shockley-Zalabak 2014). Moreover, with the help of the effective communication process, team leader will have the idea about the requirement and expectation of the team members along with determination of the individual opinion and suggestion of the members. On the other hand effective communication process will help the team members to have the understanding of what the team leader is expecting from them. In addition, the vision of the leader will be effectively conveyed to the members only with the help of the communication process (Rajhans 2012). The key motive of teamwork is to collectively achieve the pre-determined objectives. Thus, effective communication process will help to enhance the collectivism among the team members. The more effective will be the communication process among the team members, the more mutual understanding and cooperation will be there among the team members. Effective communication is also important for initiating better working environment due to the reason that, in the workplace also, connectivity between the internal stakeholders is important. It is important for the managers to determine the requirement and grievances of their subordinates in order to effectively drive their productivity. Thus, with the help of the effective communication process, they will be able to determine the requirement and grievances of the employees (Hebdon and Noh 2013). On the other hand, employees will be more motivated if they have effective communication process to convey their grievances and get solved accordingly. Moreover, with the help of the communication process, they will be able to have the clear idea about their roles in the organization. References Hebdon, R. and Noh, S.C., 2013.
